Press Start is located on the corner of Mount Rushmore Road and Main Street in Downtown Rapid City. With their recent expansion, Press Start now sprawls across a beautiful first level and into the basement. They added more games to their already impressive line-up, going above and beyond fan favorites of Pac Man and Guitar Hero to now offer Temple Run, Flappy Bird and more. Retro game lovers, they still have the old tried and true games that rock the house, plus a new lounge section where you play on old video game consoles like a Nintendo 64 and Sega. With the additional space, Press Start now has restaurant seating where you can enjoy something off their new food menu, or a specialty drink from the bar like a spiked milkshake!
As a bar and arcade, anyone under the age of 21 isn’t allowed after 10pm. Before that time though it’s a great place to bring the family for a fun night of gaming. The better you do at the games the more tickets you’ll receive, so don’t forget to snag them from the machine each time. At the prize booth you can count your winnings and select your reward for a job well done.
