America turns 250, and there is no better place to celebrate than Downtown Rapid City. Join a multi-day free festival filled with hometown pride, community spirit, and the kind of moments that bring people together. Expect a full lineup of live music, a vibrant parade through downtown streets, local food trucks, a lively Kids Zone, and unforgettable nights capped with fireworks, a spectacular drone show lighting up the Black Hills sky, and regionally renowned concerts.

Fans of Rapid City’s beloved Great Downtown Pumpkin Festival will recognize the familiar footprint. The celebration stretches from Main Street Square to the bandshell at Memorial Park Bandshell near The Monument, creating a vibrant corridor of activity through the heart of the city. Along the way, explore local vendors, lively beer gardens, Touch-A-Truck experiences, live entertainment, Kids and Game Zones, and plenty more surprises waiting around every corner.

Stage Schedule

Beyond the festivities happening across downtown, the stages at Main Street Square and the Memorial Park Bandshell will keep the celebration going with live entertainment throughout the festival. From afternoon sets to evening performances, the soundtrack of America’s 250th will echo through the heart of Rapid City.
