Downtown has been taken over by scarecrows with style! Select businesses throughout Downtown Rapid City have created unique, themed scarecrows to showcase their creativity and community spirit.
How It Works

Explore Downtown: Stroll through downtown to see all the scarecrows in person.

Pick Your Favorite: Each scarecrow is one-of-a-kind—whether it’s spooky, silly, or downright clever.

Cast Your Vote: Community members can vote for their favorite scarecrow via the Visit Rapid City app or in person at the Rapid City Visitor Center.
Vote in the Visit Rapid City App

Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play (search “Visit Rapid City.”)

On the app home screen, tap the “Pumpkin Fest” icon.

Select “Scarecrow Contest.”

Find the business that created the scarecrow you want to vote for.

Tap the business and then tap “Vote.” Done!

Prefer to Vote In Person?
Swing by the Rapid City Visitor Center at 613 Main Street in downtown Rapid City and a staff member will help you cast your vote.
