Get ready, Rapid City! Kick off your trick-or-treating adventures downtown on October 31!
Tiny ghouls, spooky superheroes and candy-loving critters are all invited for a free afternoon packed with sweet treats and festive fun. Dress up in your best costumes, bring your trick-or-treat bags, and start your adventure at Main Street Square and venture off around downtown collecting as much candy as those little hands can hold.

Are pets allowed on the Square?
We are sure your pet is always on its best behavior, but for the safety of park visitors, please leave your dog at home. Service animals are welcome.
Where can I park downtown?
Parking in Downtown Rapid City is conveniently straightforward. We have an array of options to suit all visitor needs. Public parking is readily available in the city parking ramp located adjacent to Main Street Square. This is a paid parking option, with the fees set at $1 per hour Monday-Saturday on the main floor.
Additionally, Rapid City offers metered street parking spaces spread throughout the downtown area. If you're in need of a guide to locate these spots we recommend downloading the Park Smarter app which allows you to pay-as-you-go for metered parking. Search your app store for "parksmarter" to download the app. You can find more about this here.
Lastly, there are some streets outside of Main St. and Saint Joseph St. within the downtown district that offer free parking. Do keep an eye out for the two-hour parking limit signs though.
