Dive into one of the few large reservoirs in western South Dakota. Angostura Reservoir is known for its crystal waters, excellent camping, sandy beaches and fine fishing. This portion of the Cheyenne River was originally set aside for irrigation but has grown into a major recreation spot. Beachgoers and picnickers love the 36 miles of shoreline following the reservoir. Concession services are provided at a marina with three locations and 155 boat slips, a beach club and rental lodges with an outdoor pool.
