Black Hills Veteran’s Monument

This memorial located within Memorial Park was built by VFW Post 1273 and the Ellsworth Air Force Base community in honor of Black Hills Veterans from WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Desert Storm/1st Iraqi War. The monument stands on a large stone donated by Crazy Horse Memorial® founder, Ruth Ziolkowski and contains plaques to honor and remember the service and sacrifices of Black Hills veterans.
