Canyon Lake Park is one of the oldest city parks in Rapid City. The park totals 29 acres and features several picnic areas, a fishing bridge, paddle boat rentals and a variety of outdoor recreation activities. Canyon Lake Park is part of the Rapid City Historic District Tour.
Dive into one of the few large reservoirs in western South Dakota. Angostura Reservoir is known for its crystal waters, excellent camping, sandy beaches and fine fishing. This portion of the Cheyenne River was originally set aside for irrigation but has grown into a major recreation spot.
