Jackson Park in Rapid City
Located just a few blocks southeast of Sioux Park, Jackson Park hugs the east side of Rapid Creek and is home to one of the community’s three 18-hole disc golf courses. The park also has 11 baseball and two softball fields peppering the grounds, making it an ideal location for tournaments and area league baseball games.
Split in two by Jackson Boulevard, Jackson Park also has a lake that’s open for fishing year-round. Visitors can take in the beautiful scenery around the lake while riding the city bike path system to the west side of the park.
Originally drowned by the flood of 1972, these beautiful, sprawling greenways are the crown jewel of Rapid City’s park system and attract a year-round crowd of families, children and devoted sports fans.
