OUR GUIDELINES:

We request a minimum of three weeks notice for a press visit. This allows us to pursue suitable, available lodging and make other arrangements to enhance your visit.

Potential visitors can request a copy of our Rapid City Vacation Planner via our online website, toll-free number, email or snail mail requests. Additionally, tourism and hospitality members provide brochures to be displayed in our visitor information center located at our office at Main Street Square. Here, visitor information specialists, provide local expert assistance directly to walk-ins or call-ins to make their vacation planning easy and flawless. The Goal of the Sports & Events niche of Visit Rapid City is to work with local, state, regional and national associations to encourage them to bring sporting events and competitions to Rapid City. We work with the local organizations to ensure their events get marketed outside of Rapid City through various marketing efforts with the help of the Rapid City Sports Council. We want to make sure that these events grow and our local organizations build a good base which will enable us to host larger regional and national events.
