To eat and drink like a local, park your vehicle in Downtown Rapid City and get ready to explore. Walk around and check out all the local restaurants, the cool bars and fun patios. For a great Sunday mimosa you'll want to visit Tally's, or for a fun evening with friends enjoy Murphy's patio and sip on a glass of your favorite cocktail. Explore Main and St. Joseph Streets as well as all the side streets for some hidden gems. Top off your experience with a stroll through the hidden gem, Art Alley. If you're wanting to take a bottle of wine home with you, stop by Canyon Lake Liquors and let the experts help you pick out your new favorite.
Jessica Miller – Art Enthusiast
Rapid City's art scene is on fire! We are a regional art hub because the incredible natural beauty of the Black Hills draws artists and inspires all kinds of creative work. Our downtown is full of galleries and artists at work in their studios. Our community has an amazing concentration of talented artists, an exceptional public art collection and museums and performance spaces way ahead of their time.
Bill Bernhard – Hiking Expert
Rapid City and the Black Hills are an outdoor enthusiast's paradise! The area offers people of all fitness levels the opportunity to hike, road bike, mountain bike or trail run. One of my favorite hikes is to Little Devils Tower. When you arrive near the top, you will need to break out your inner rock climber. Once at the top, the views are spectacular and you may even run in to some mountain goats. Just don't get too close — they don't like that!
