Turtle Soup Lecture Series

Feed your mind and your belly with your busy schedule in mind at Turtle Soup! 

Enjoy good stories, good food and good company on select Friday's from Noon - 1 pm. Every Turtle Soup will feature a history lesson on historical figures and events that influenced the Black Hills history and include a featured soup from Angel's Catering.

Turtle Soups are included in regular admission to the museum or are 1/2 off for members.

2019 Open Stage

Join the Hills City Arts Council for a night of great music at Open Stage, select dates in February and March. Doors open at 5:15 pm, buffet at 5:30 pm and the show starts at 6:00 pm. 

Admission is FREE, and audience's freewill donations support art scholarships and art education grants for local kids.

Smokey Bear Exhibit & Celebration

The Black Hills National Forest, in partnership with South Dakota Wildland Fire Division, invites the public to celebrate Smokey Bear’s 75th birthday and wildfire prevention campaign at a FREE art exhibition in Custer, SD.

Rudolph “Rudy” Wendelin’s historic replica portraits of the beloved Bear will be on display March 11-22 at the Black Hills National Forest’s Supervisor/Hell Canyon Ranger District Offices, 1019 N. 5th St., Custer, SD.
