Crazy Horse Memorial is dedicated to honoring the historic heritage and living cultures of the North American Indian people and to telling their epic story - day and night. Legends in Light, the laser-light program project on the Mountain Carving, illuminates our cultural diversities, celebrates our similarities and encourages harmony among people.

For the 2017 season, the show will be played nightly starting on May 26 - October 1.

Mickelson Trail Trek

Mickelson Trail is more than just a recreational trail; it's a trail of history. You have the opportunity to travel the same path as General George A. Custer, Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane, and Potato Creek Johnny. Burlington Northern built this rail line over 100 years ago to accommodate the miners who had rushed to the area to pan for gold. In 1983, the rail line was abandoned and this incredible trail was envisioned. After years of planning, hard work, and determination the trail became a reality.

Miner Music Series Presents Caitlin Canty

The Miner Music Series presents Caitlin Canty with opening act Evan Bartels, September 16 at 7pm on the Miner Brewing Company Concert Lawn. 

Caitlin Canty delivers her songs with a dusky alto and a 1930s Recording King guitar. Her breakout record "Reckless Skyline" features an all-star band on twelve songs that veer nimbly between country ballads and straight-up rockers, dark blues, and sparsely arranged folk. Her music has been featured on the CBS medical drama "Code Black" and the Netflix original series "House of Cards."

Orchestral Concert Event Celebrates Restoration featuring Composer Calvin Jones

The public is invited to attend a special orchestral concert event on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 7:00pm at the Historic Homestake Opera House celebrating the restoration of the second lower wall portion within the theater interior, nicknamed the Ed Ross Wall. 

This historic performance by American composer/songwriter/pianist Calvin Jones will be accompanied by a 26-member live orchestra featuring musicians from all over the Black Hills and directed by Dr. Christopher Hahn, assistant professor of music at BHSU.
