The educators at the Journey Museum & Learning Center make it a priority to supply creative ways to make the museum educational for all ages. From hands on experiences, to captivating videos, you are guaranteed to learn something new about the Black Hills area.

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. STEAM Saturdays provide an opportunity for toddlers and younger kids to get hands on and experience something new with the whole family. These safe educational programs surpass age and experience allowing children to feel empowered and learn at their own pace.

While adults indulge in the history written on the walls of the museum, the STEAM activities like Toddler Time, Discovery Expeditions, and Journey Into Space is where the museum comes to life for kids. The Journey Museum educators incorporated everything represented in the museum in these activities in an exciting way for the kids, they’ll discover Native American Culture, learn about the Dinosaurs, even about the history of our area.
