Gary has planned and hosted organizational conferences since 1980 and was intrigued by the opportunity to see what was available in Rapid City that would be attractive to his members. Being a fan of the Amazing Race and having not missed a season, Gary is looking forward to the hands on experience that will offer a better perspective than just the traditional site visit.

Linda is the founder and primary event planner for Awesome Events, and has 16 years of prior experience in sales, marketing and event planning. She sees The Amazing Rush as a fun challenge and a creative way to meet people and gain information about Rapid City.

Dana has been planning meetings since 1986 and consulting to the National Newspaper Association since 2016. She is excited about the opportunity to visit a new destination and is intrigued by the challenges that Visit Rapid City has in mind for the competition.

Two Days of Adventure

For two days, competing teams will venture throughout Rapid City and the Black Hills making pit stops and collecting clues and points along the way. Contestants will travel to top attractions like Mount Rushmore, explore Downtown Rapid City and experience a variety of unique meeting venues and team building activities for the BEST. SITE VISIT. EVER.

Grand Prize

Each team collects points at various locations throughout Rapid City and the Black Hills for completing tasks and challenges. Points are also awarded for tweeting from each location. The team with the most points during the Amazing Rush Season 3 will be awarded with an exclusive VIP opening night reception or hospitality suite for their booked meeting or convention in Rapid City.

Tyson's warm disposition, passion for the outdoors and background in the armed forces helps bring The Amazing Rush to life. He and his team have produced a competition that combines strategy, adrenaline and an absurd amount of fun, to create a destination experience unlike any other.
