Central States Fair and Rodeo

The Central States Fair and Rodeo events include a carnival, free stage entertainment, beer tents, PRCA Range Days Rodeo and Grandstand events. Held annually in August.

Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo

The fast-paced action of rodeo moves indoors every January at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo features ESPN/PRCA Extreme Bull Riding, bronco busting, and many other rodeo events.  Visitors can also enjoy livestock shows, auctions and free entertainment for the whole family.

American Legion Baseball

Rapid City Post 22 American Legion Baseball has won dozens of state titles and made several appearances in the American Legion Baseball World Series, winning a title in 1993.
