Main Street Square

Main Street Square is an outdoor venue filled with fountains, artwork and year round events. During the spring and summer months you can play in a musical water fountain, catch a movie under the stars, enjoy live music, and browse the farmer's market. In the fall and winter months the fun continues with outdoor ice skating, special winter events and holiday concerts.

The City of Presidents

Visitors to downtown Rapid City are greeted by the City of Presidents, a series of life-size bronze statues of our nation’s past presidents along the city’s streets and sidewalks. Whether you’re enjoying downtown shopping, dining or other attractions, you can enjoy these free sculptures.

Parking Downtown

Downtown Rapid City offers plenty of parking options for patrons of Downtown businesses and Main Street Square. The city parking ramp adjacent to the Square, has more than 500 spaces with metered and leased spots. 10-hour meters are located on the second floor, where you can park all day for $2. Parking is free after 4:00pm on weekdays and all weekend at the ramp and all city lots.

Throughout Downtown, there is free off-street parking, with a two-hour limit Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
