Parkview Sports Complex in Rapid City

Although Rapid City’s beautiful scenery was naturally created millions of years ago, some of its most exceptional athletic facilities are fairly new to the map – like the Parkview Sports Complex.

Completed in 2010, the Parkview Sports Complex is home to 12 brand new, post tension concrete tennis courts, along with ample parking and portable hydraulic bleachers for large crowds. The facility also includes the Parkview Pool and the Parkview Softball Complex, with four ASA softball fields. Every year the Parkview Softball Complex hosts the Scheels® Mount Rushmore Classic Softball Tournament.

In the future, the complex will be expanded and include a playground, restrooms, more parking and other amenities.

As new as it is, the complex has already hosted the South Dakota State Tennis Tournament, as well as Rapid City tennis teams, leagues and fans. The Parkview Sports Complex was also constructed with bigger tournaments in mind and will make a perfect location for United States Tennis Association (USTA) events.

With improvements currently underway at other Rapid City tennis courts, the city is shaping up to have some of the best outdoor tennis facilities in the northern section of the USTA.
