Council of State Government Midwestern Legislative Conference
In July 2008, the Council of State Governments/Midwestern Legislative Conference held its 63rd Annual Meeting in Rapid City, South Dakota.  In attendance were 550 delegates, with a total attendance of 870 from across the Midwest and Canada. 

The Convention and Visitors Bureau in Rapid City was invaluable to our convention team.  Not only did they provide attendance building in Traverse City, Michigan, the year prior to our convention., they continued to be instrumental in locating a meeting facility, hosting hotel and overflow properties for attendees, assisting with registration, welcome packets, and program and entertainment once Rapid City was the chosen site.

We received numerous positive comments from attendees regarding site location and overall coordination of the event.  Many thanks to a terrific group from the CVB and to the volunteers of the Rapid City area for a well-coordinated and successful event.
