The fourth annual event attracted a record number of racers and mountain-bike enthusiasts from across South Dakota and the region on May 28-31. Even though the 30 rides, six races and a film festival are over, the 2010 Fat Tire Festival is still boosting area tourism.   “There is a trickle down affect that the community receives with out-of-town mountain bikers that may not have attended the festival, but have become aware of our trails through our promotions and word of mouth,” says Kristy Lintz, Recreation Program Specialist at the Rapid City Department of Parks & Recreation.
